The Holy City Rickshaws is a unique innovative initiative of ACCESS Development Services, in partnership with Intrepid Foundation, and aims to provide long-term aspirational employment opportunities to 50 women from low-income households in Varanasi. Skilled in plying custom-designed e-rickshaws, these women proudly own and manage this social enterprise.
Holy City Rickshaws follows a triple-bottom-line approach - social empowerment of women, providing dignified economic opportunities, and contributing to reducing vehicular pollution in Varanasi.
